The Gift: The play starts with a narrator, who is acting as a child. He interacts with the group of children at the same time searching for Gaurav. Meanwhile, Gaurav with a bat in his hand joins the group and they start playing cricket. Gaurav calls his sister, Gauri to join them. But she refuses. She seems to be upset. Gaurav tries to make her laugh, but it was of no avail. Gaurav then understands the reason what goes wrong with her, as the father refuses her to gift a cycle. Since she has been denied a gift, he decides to buy one for her.
The play, developed and directed by Tripurari Sharma, indirectly deals the difficult issues of child psychology and gender discrimination.
